
The Lambda Theta Chapter of Delta Zeta was founded at Michigan Technological University on February 14, 1975. Lambda Theta is a part of Region 6. There are nine chapters in Region 6. We are the oldest National Sorority at Michigan Technological University. Our chapter colors are maroon and silver.

Delta Zeta was founded nationally on October 24, 1902, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Six women founded Delta Zeta. They are Julia Bishop, Anne Simmons, Anna Keen, Alpha Lloyd, Mary Collins, and Mabelle Minton.
Delta Zeta was founded on the principles of the values of scholarship, sisterhood, and service. The purpose of this sorority shall be to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action; objects worthy of the highest aim and purpose of associated effort.
This sorority shall be advanced through the National Convention, the National Council, and the college and alumnae chapters. |
