“To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine”
- Delta Zeta creed

Delta Zeta chapters across the United States participate in fundraising for our National Philanthropic Cause, the speech and hearing impaired. Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. is the only speech and hearing impaired university in the country. In addition to supporting Gallaudet, Delta Zeta supports the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, California.

The Foundation makes annual grants to Delta Zeta alumnae chapters to assist with local service projects in hearing centers, schools, and clinics. Delta Zeta is very important to Gallaudet University. We have donated enough money to pay for the "Delta Zeta Floor," where the Gallaudet dancers learn through the vibrations in the floor.

Through the Delta Zeta Foundation, our sorority contributes money raised by all the Delta Zeta chapters across the United States. Delta Zeta believes that in supporting these two organizations, we add the gift of financial support and we generate awareness to the speech and hearing impaired.

Besides national philanthropy, our Lambda Theta chapter is involved in numerous ways. Each girl is encouraged to be involved in at least one, if not more, areas of volunteer work. Our new members are required to plan and execute one philanthropic event on their own, while throughout the year we are involved in many events. From helping Sigma Pi Fraternity with their an annual Haunted Haus event, a Christmas party for underprivileged local children with Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, lunch box auctions, dog walking and cleaning for the local animal shelter, and so much more, we are always doing something.
