“They’re half my soul & half my heart… without these girls, I’d fall apart.”

Sisterhood is the foundation of a good sorority.  Over 100 years ago, Delta Zeta was founded on the principle of sincere and lasting friendships.  It is more than just simple friendship, it's a bond that lasts for life. Sisterhood is a bond that will last well beyond our collegiate years. No matter the amount of distance or time that may separate you, sisters are sisters forever.

Sisterhood is developed among ladies that love, respect, and honor not only themselves, but also their fellow sisters.  It's helping a sister understand she is not the only one going through the pains of life.  It's being a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, or celebrating life's joys together.  It is a group of actions, a commitment, a support that we can rely on.

Our Delta Zeta chapter strengthens the sisterhood of our women in many ways, whether it be through movie nights, or overnight retreats. But it is sometimes the unplanned moments that show true sisterhood – studying together, going out together, being there for a sister in need. When you have a  sister you are never alone.

Sisterhood
is so many things...
It's a warm smile on a cold and rainy day
a friendly hug, a cheerful hello.
It's baking cookies together.
It's get better cards when you are sick.

It's just because I love you presents.

It's a phone call just to make you smile!

It's all that a good and lasting friendship is,
only better!
It's treasured.  It's sacred.
It's knowing that there will always
be someone there for you, no matter what.
It's dreams shared, and goals achieved.
It's counting on others, and being counted on!
It's... Delta Zeta!

"There's a special kind of freedom sisters enjoy. Freedom to share innermost thoughts, to ask a favor, to show their true feelings. The freedom to simply be themselves."
